Chavez Confirms Participation in Brazil Social Forum

Caracas, Jan 29 (Prensa Latina) Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez confirmed
participation in the Ninth World Social Forum being held in the Brazilian
city of Belem until Sunday.

Chavez said at a rally that he would be there on Thursday morning to meet
Presidents Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva (Brazil), Evo Morales (Bolivia), Rafael
Correa (Ecuador) and Fernando Lugo (Paraguay).

We are rising to make Latin America free and great, said the Venezuelan
president, who added that those forums seek solutions to the poor nations'
problems. According to organizers, representatives from some 4,000 social
movements from 150 countries will be able to express their viewpoints at
nearly 1,000 daily events, including workshops, seminars and meetings.
