I’m posting here two documents that were read out at 11 am in the town  
of San Cristobal, in Chiapas, Mexico, as part of the activities on  
International Women’s Day by the women of The Other Campaign in  
Chiapas on March 8 2010.



The first one is titled

PRONUNCIAMIENTO DE LA OTRA CAMPAÑA CHIAPAZ, EN EL DIA INTERNACIONAL DE  
LA MUJER REBELDE



Which, for non-Spanish speaking people on this list, translates  
roughly as :

‘Pronouncement of the Other Campaign Chiapas, on the International Day  
of the Rebellious Woman’ (or Womankind)
(with apologies to the authors and Spanish speakers for any liberties  
I have taken in this translation !)



The second one is titled

DECLARATORIA  POLITICA DEL ENCUENTRO DE MUJERES DE LA OTRA CAMPAÑA EN  
EL MARCO DEL DIA INTERNACIONAL DE LA MUJER. EMITIDA EL 8 DE MARZO DEL  
2010, SAN CRISTOBAL DE LAS CASAS, CHIAPAS, MEXICO.



Which translates as :

‘Political Declaration of A Meeting of Women of The Other Campaign in  
the Context of the International Day of the Woman.  Issued March 8  
2010, San Cristobal de las Casas, Chiapas, Mexico’.
