Belem, Brazil, Jan 29 (Prensa Latina) Means to fight the crisis is the key issue today at the World Social Forum debates with the attendance of the presidents of Venezuela, Brazil, Bolivia, Ecuador and Paraguay.

Hangar Conventions Center in Belem, capital of Para, hosts the debate whose announcement generated huge expectation among the over 100,000 social activists at the meeting.

Attendance of Presidents Evo Morales, of Bolivia; Hugo Chavez, of Venezuela; Rafael Correa, of Ecuador; Fernando Lugo, of Paraguay, and Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva, of Brazil, is seen as expression of the changes going on in the region.

In the view of President Rafael Correa, the changes need to be done with realism and courage, he said on arriving to Belem.

The participants agree that the current economic crisis brings new challenges to the WSF movement, born nine years ago to counter the superpowers' policies and their main meeting scenario, the forum in Davos.
